Menlo Men's Tennis Fights Valiantly Against Colorado Mesa, Falling 1-4

FRESNO, CA – The Menlo Men's Tennis team faced a tough challenge against nationally ranked no. 28 Mavericks of Colorado Mesa at the Haak Tennis Complex. The Oaks put up a valiant effort but would fall 1-4 to the Mavericks.

MATCH RECAP
Menlo showed its strength in doubles play at the no. 1 spot with the duo Asger Emil Ildor and Ian Ramiro Perez would defeat their opponents by a score of 6-4. The Oaks would fall in the other two doubles matches and the Mavericks took the first point of the day with the Oaks down 0-1.

In singles play Robin Mcalpine would be put in the no. 1 spot to earn the Oaks lone point of the day. Mcalpine would defeat his opponent 6-0 in the first set, but his opponent would retire the second set with the score now becoming 1-1. The Oaks unfortunately were unable to secure another point of the match, Henry Riccioni-Brown would fall to his opponents 1-6, 4-6 along with with Angel Roldan falling 1-6, 2-6, and Robinson Pennault fighting hard but also falling 4-6, 2-6. The remaining two matches were left unfinished due to the Mavericks taking the match 1-4 over the Oaks.
