ATHERTON, CA – Facing a Biola squad contending for a top spot in the PacWest, Menlo Men's Basketball put up a valiant fight in a thrilling 87-72 battle at Haynes-Prim Pavilion. The game was marked by numerous lead changes, intense competition, and standout performances from both teams.

Oaks Continue to Rise to the Occasion
The Oaks shot 41.9% from the field, going 9-of-22 from three-point range while converting 11-of-14 from the free-throw line. Despite Menlo's efficient shooting, Biola capitalized in the paint, outscoring the Oaks 56-34 in that area.
The first half saw Menlo and Biola exchanging leads multiple times, with the Oaks trailing 40-32 at halftime. Menlo kept pace thanks to timely three-pointers and strong rebounding, out-rebounding Biola 40-30 overall. However, Biola's offense surged in the second half, shooting 60% from the field to pull away.
Turnovers proved costly for the Oaks, as Biola converted Menlo's 12 turnovers into 16 points. The Eagles also displayed their defensive prowess with 7 steals and 3 blocks, disrupting Menlo's rhythm down the stretch. Despite the loss, the Oaks showcased resilience and determination against one of the conference's top contenders.
