AZUSA, CA – In the first of three games in Southern California to begin Pacific West Conference play, Menlo Women's Basketball could not bounce back from nine first-half 3-pointers knocked down by the Azusa Pacific in the Cougars' 72-40 win on Tuesday evening inside Felix Event Center.

Zoe Carrillo helped Menlo get into a rhythm in the second, but APU's ninth 3-pointer of the contest ended the opening half with Azusa Pacific in front 43-19.
A layup by Carrillo came early in the third quarter, but the Cougars managed to push their advantage further and ended up maintaining that margin the rest of the way for the PacWest victory.
