Just minutes later, Hawaii Pacific found the equalizer in the 14th minute. Despite the Sharks' quick response, the Oaks remained poised, generating quality chances through Devyn Casteel, Kawai Acopan, and Kaylin Gonzalez, while the back line anchored by Taryn Thalhamer and Aaliyah Alatorre helped keep the match tight.
The second half was marked by strong defensive stands from both sides. The Oaks controlled possession for stretches, forcing several saves from the HPU goalkeeper. On the other end, Giorgia Melcore stood tall in her final home outing, tallying four saves to preserve the draw and overtake the #1 spot in the record books for career saves.
