ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Men's Soccer put on a commanding performance Tuesday afternoon at Wunderlich Field, earning a 6-0 victory over Cal Maritime in a non-conference matchup. From start to finish, the Oaks controlled possession, showcased their offensive depth, and demonstrated the kind of chemistry that has fueled their recent momentum. Six different Oaks found the back of the net and six different players notched assists, reflecting the team's collective strength and depth across the roster. The victory also saw all four Menlo goalkeepers share time in goal, combining for a shutout effort in front of the home crowd.

Depth and Teamwork Shine

Everybody Eats

The scoring opened early in the sixth minute when Sam Archer buried a header off a smart assist from Hugo Few to give the Oaks a 1-0 advantage. Menlo continued to apply pressure, and in the 22nd minute, Oliver Mayer doubled the lead after Manuel Portillo set him up inside the box. The momentum stayed with Menlo as Parker Faeth found the back of the net in the 30th minute with help from Matthew Aldana, before Roy Rosenberg closed out the half thanks to a setup from Tyler Maas to make it 4-0 after 45 minutes.

The Oaks carried their attacking form into the second half, keeping the Keelhaulers pinned in their defensive third. In the 58th minute, Liam Elliott blasted one with his left foot past the Keelhauler keeper to extend their lead to 5-0 after a clever pass from Brian Chang. The final blow came in the 86th minute when Gabriele Amore netted Menlo's sixth goal, assisted by Stone Watring who relentlessly fought to get to the endline and get a cross off, sealing an all-around team performance.

Menlo's depth was on full display, as 25 players saw the field and each of the team's four goalkeepers shared minutes in the shutout. The Oaks outshot the Keelhaulers 31-6, holding them to limited opportunities while creating chance after chance through their aggressive attack and sharp passing. Menlo's defensive unit was equally composed, limiting Cal Maritime to just one corner and two shots on frame across 90 minutes.
