Rosette’s Double-Double Leads Wire-to-Wire in Victory Over Fresno Pacific

ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Women's Basketball delivered a commanding performance at Haynes-Prim Pavilion on Saturday, securing a 74-69 win over Fresno Pacific. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, the Oaks never relinquished their lead, showcasing their determination and depth in front of an electric home crowd.

Dynamic Playmakers

Today's team-win was heavily influenced by the following Oaks…

  • Jordyn Rosette was a force on both ends of the court, leading the Oaks with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds. She also added 4 blocks and a steal in a dominant all-around effort.

  • Alberte Frisch contributed 19 points, shooting 4-of-10 from the field and a stellar 9-of-10 from the free-throw line, while also grabbing 6 rebounds and recording 2 steals.

  • Jesni Cooper added 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals, providing clutch plays throughout her 32 minutes of action.

  • Taylor Westbrook and Aliya Hunter came off the bench to add valuable contributions, combining for 5 points and strong defensive minutes.

Oaks Controlling the Game

Menlo jumped out to an early lead in the first quarter, powered by Rosette's scoring and a strong defensive presence that forced 20 turnovers from Fresno Pacific. The Oaks capitalized with 15 points off turnovers and 13 fast-break points, keeping the visitors on their heels.

The second half saw Menlo maintain their momentum, outscoring the Sunbirds 19-13 in the third quarter. Frisch and Rosette were instrumental in driving the offense, while Menlo's defense held Fresno Pacific to 25% shooting from beyond the arc. With this wire-to-wire victory, the Oaks improve their record to 7-7 overall and 3-4 in PacWest play. Their balanced attack and defensive intensity are proving to be key strengths as they continue their season facing high-quality opponents.
