Outstanding Oaks
Starting goalkeeper Giorgia Melcore was a standout performer, facing 10 shots and making an impressive eight saves to keep her team in the game. In the offensive third, Kawai Acopan, a center midfielder, and Olivia Parlato, a right winger, each contributed with two shots, showing their willingness to push forward. Kawai Acopan leads the Oaks this season so far with 5 shots but is still patiently waiting for her chance to find the back of the net. Olivia is not too far behind her with 4 shots this season.Â
However, the Oaks struggled to test the Sea Lions' goalkeeper effectively, managing only one shot on target throughout the match. This lack of offensive pressure ultimately hindered their chances of turning the game in their favor.
