Atherton, CA-It was the final outing for Menlo Baseball out at Cartan Field which means it would be the teams Senior Day celebration. While the outcomes of the game unfortunately not favoring the Oaks the team still found time to honor 14 young men who will leave Menlo having made a mark on and off the field!

As he has done all year long Sage Pera was once again a bright spot for the Oaks. In his final appearance as an Oak he did all he could to keep battling against the seventh ranked Warriors. Pera totaled two doubles, was able to draw three walks and didn't strike out on the day. Pera has been the Oaks season leader in RBIs, home runs and many other batting categories. Not only does he strike fear into opposing pitchers but the designated hitter is an outstanding teammate who operates with a passion and optimism that is infectious.Â
In game two another fan favorite would make his mark. PJ Fuentes was ready when his number was called and made the most of his start at leftfield during the second game of the day. In three at-bats Fuentes would hit two doubles, drive in a run and score a run himself. While the scoreboard was tough to watch seeing Fuentes hit his second double of the day and give an emphatic flex and shot towards the dugout couldn't help but bring a smile to fans faces.Â
