Fullerton, CA-Menlo Men's Basketball headed down to Fullerton to face the Hope International Royals for the third time this season. This matchup would carry extra weight as the sixth seeded Oaks looked to knock off the third seeded Royals. Despite a spirited effort, the Oaks would fall by a final score of 61-65. Now Menlo will wait and see if a national tournament bid is in the cards.
Riley Robinson Validates Freshman of the Year Award
Earlier this week Riley Robinson was named the GSAC Freshman of the Year. In the biggest game of the year, on the biggest stage, Robinson proved he deserved said award. Robinson played 34 minutes while once again earning the starting nod. He proceeded to post a game, season and career high 20 points on a highly efficient 7-12 shooting display. He also knocked down five threes while not committing a single turnover. Robinson emerged as a legitimate piece of the Oaks rotation. Regardless of what awaits this team next, Robinson showed that all his work behind closed doors has greatly paid off.

The Oaks will now keep an eye on the impending NAIA National Tournament announcements. While the team may not be a lock for a bid, they have put together some big wins and a 19 win season. Fingers crossed that the boys still have more basketball to play!Â
