ROCKLIN, CA – In a thrilling display of resilience and effort, Menlo Men's Basketball came up just short against Jessup University, losing 68-72 in a nail-biter at Warrior Arena. Despite the tough loss, there is still a competitive rivalry carried over from the GSAC era that showed in numerous lead changes.

Even with a tough loss, Menlo would not have kept it a tight match without:

Preston Le Gassick: unstoppable, leading all scorers with 23 points on 8-of-20 shooting, including 6-of-12 from three-point range. He also added 5 rebounds and 7 steals in a standout two-way performance.

Landon Seaman: dominated the paint, finishing with 20 points and 9 rebounds while shooting an efficient 9-of-17 from the field. He also recorded 2 blocks and a steal.

Menlo's defense was active throughout, forcing 12 turnovers and racking up 10 steals, led by Le Gassick's defensive brilliance. The Oaks also dominated the offensive glass, grabbing 18 offensive rebounds that led to 17 second-chance points.
Menlo's offense was efficient, shooting 48% from the field and sinking 7 three-pointers. The Oaks' ability to score in the paint (34 points) and convert on turnovers (9 points) kept them competitive against a tough Jessup squad. However, Jessup's ability to capitalize at the free-throw line (18-of-24) ultimately made the difference.
