SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Menlo Men's Basketball triumphed in a thrilling matchup against the Gators of San Francisco State on Saturday night. Fueled by Landon Seaman's dominant double-double and key contributions from the entire squad, the Oaks secured a hard-fought 72-60 victory, their first official win over an NCAA Division II program. The team displayed relentless effort, leaving everything on the court to clinch their second win of the season.

Landon Seaman - led the charge with a commanding double-double, scoring 24 points and grabbing 11 rebounds while adding 3 assists and 3 steals. Tonight would account for his first double-double of the season.

Preston Le Gassick - chipped in 16 points, shooting 4-for-8 from beyond the arc, along with 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

Menlo Makes it Look Easy
The game opened with a back-and-forth first half before Menlo found their rhythm. The Oaks capitalized on second-chance opportunities, outscoring the Gators 14-4 in that category. Menlo's defense shined, forcing 14 turnovers and converting them into 17 points.
In the second half, Menlo's depth proved decisive. The Oaks' bench contributed 17 points, providing key moments that helped maintain the lead. San Francisco State struggled to find their offensive flow, shooting just 40% (23-of-52) from the field, compared to Menlo's 46% (29-of-62). Menlo also controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Gators 39-23.
Crucial plays included Seaman's fast-break layup early in the second half, which energized the team and widened the lead. Preston Le Gassick's back-to-back three-pointers midway through the period prevented a Gator comeback. Despite San Francisco State's strong paint presence, Menlo's composure and teamwork sealed the win, with a strong 42 points coming in the paint and only 15 team fouls committed.
