Santa Barbara, CA- After a long weekend of competition Menlo Women's Tennis heads into Spring Break having split a pair of matches this weekend. On Friday the Oaks took care of business against the Westmont Warriors, defeating their GSAC opponent 5-2. The following day the Oaks took the court against division two opponent Fresno Pacific and would fall short.

Match One: Menlo 5, Westmont 2
In their conference showdown Menlo took care of business in decisive fashion. The Oaks defeated Westmont with a final score of 5-2. Despite falling behind 0-1 after losing the doubles portion of the match the team would rally. Winning five of the six singles matches Menlo has now moved into second place in the GSAC with a 4-1 conference record. Milana Hrudka, Franziska Niederle, Angelika Sidorov and Andrea Vlasceanu would all win their individual matchups in just two sets.

Match Two: Menlo 0, Fresno Pacific 5
On the second day of their back to back competitions the Oaks would fall to Fresno Pacific. The Oaks would fall in the doubles portion of the day losing two of the three matches. Individually there would be close battles across the six individual matches. Valentina Urelli Rinaldi battled across three close sets. Vlasceanu would win her first set before having the second set called off.

Menlo will be back home for a four game stretch starting with a match against Chaminade on March 25th. With the GSAC Championships roughly a month away, every match will continue to take on greater importance.
