Atherton, CA- With Spring Break right around the corner Menlo Men's Volleyball played their final home game of the season against the visiting The Masters Mustangs. Coach Todd Hollenbeck and the Menlo community made sure to show their support and gratitude for the six graduating seniors who would take the floor in Haynes-Prim Pavilion for the last time. Unfortunately, the Oaks would fall three sets to one by the time the match concluded.

Seniors Show Out
In their final home appearance Menlo's seniors filled up the box score. Chase Direito had a team high four blocks alongside eight kills. Lucas Larson continues to be one of the premier setters in the conference with another 41 assists and even contributed defensively with three total blocks. Libero Christian Menchaca had a team high nine digs. Lastly, the duo of Edin Ibrahimovic and Konrad Stoklosinski led the charge on offense. The two combined for 27 kills and seven digs. Stoklosinski in particular was lethal, serving the ball coming up with six service aces.

Underclassmen Flashing Their Upside
While it was the seniors night a few underclassmen reminded Menlo fans that the next generation is full of up and coming players. Freshman Julius Stiemer's nine kills trailed only Stoklosinski and Ibrahimovic. He also got in on the Oaks block party chipping in three assisted blocks. Sophomore Gabriel Knittel added five kills on a strong 57% hitting percentage.

Up Next…
The Oaks will now look to wrap up their season with two road games in Southern California. Menlo will first match up with Hope International before a showdown with top ranked Vanguard. As the regular season winds down Menlo will begin to turn their focus on a GSAC Tournament appearance.
