OAKS CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON WITH 78-65 WIN

Santa Clarita, CA- As the regular season comes to a close Menlo Women's Basketball secured a 78-65 win against The Master's. Offensive efficiency was the name of the game for the Oaks. As a team Menlo would convert 44% of their field goals, 47% of their threes and a stellar 91% of their free throws. They also moved the ball well, compiling 20 assists compared to the Master's 10.

Kiara Brown Saves Her Best for Last

All regular season Kiara Brown has established herself as a force in the GSAC. In her last regular season performance Brown put on a show. The junior forward scored a season high 35 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for her 11th double-double on the year. Most impressively, Brown hit 15 of 16 free throws. Having a player like Brown will prove invaluable as the playoffs roll around!

Alberte Frisch Stuffs the Statsheet

Freshman Alberte Frisch has been one of the staples of the Oaks second unit for much of this year. In 24 minutes off the bench Frisch had arguably the best game of her young career. The guard scored 17 points, shot 3-5 from the arc, had three rebounds, two blocks and two steals. In their last game Jasmyne Huggins was the key piece off the bench for coach Spataro. Today, it was Frisch. With this deep roster Menlo not only has a talented starting five but a great bench unit ready to contribute.

Up Next…

Menlo wraps up the regular season 19-8 overall and 13-5 in conference. Over the last 16 outings, the Oaks have won 14 games. Having secured their playoff spot Menlo now turns their eyes to the GSAC Conference Tournament. Thankfully Menlo will be hosting the event giving the Oaks the chance to continue to win in front of their home crowd inside Haynes-Prim Pavilion!
