Rysan finished day one of the Cascade Championship Tournament with a 16-0 tech fall over Carlos Martinez (Simpson) and a 4-2 decision over #16 Devin Crawford (Montana-Northern) to make it to the semifinals. There, he would face #4 Hunter Hobbs (Providence) and end up going into overtime after a 1-1 tie through three periods. Leong got the takedown with a minute left to punch his ticket to the championship round to see #1 Keller Rock (ERAZ). The match remained scoreless until the third period when Rysan was able to get two escapes and a point of riding time to win in a 3-0 decision. Rysan helped lead the Oaks to a team 1st place finish to win the Conference title in back-to-back years. At the culmination of the tournament, Rysan was named Outstanding Wrestler of the Tournament for his relentless performance on the mat across the two days. Rysan was also named the Cascade Conference Wrestler of the Week. The reigning National Champion will be returning to the big stage for another chance at the National title at the end of this month!
