Competing in the Men’s 108kg session, Padron secured 2nd place and All-American honors with a 271kg total, going a perfect 6-for-6 at the USA Weightlifting University National Championships in Salt Lake City this past weekend. In his final collegiate appearance, he opened strong in the snatch at 111kg, then built to a lifetime best of 117kg. Carrying that momentum into the clean and jerk, Padron confidently hit 146kg and 151kg before calling for 154kg on his final lift of the day. With the Menlo staff cheering him on, Padron delivered in dramatic fashion to ignite the crowd and cement his place among the nation’s best. His flawless performance was the perfect ending to an outstanding collegiate career.
