Earning the first win of her collegiate career, Kim Penzold placed first overall in Menlo’s own RCA Electric Spring Invitational on March 6. In the first of two rounds out at Coyote Creek Golf Course on March 5, the native of Rathenow, Germany shot a 2-over-par 74 then followed that up with a 3-over-par 75 to end the tournament’s first day tied for first among the 30-golfer field. Penzold upped her birdie total to eight during a 7-over-par 79 final round that eventually resulted in her hoisting her first collegiate trophy.
