With fourteen Oaks stepping onto the platform at the Hassle Free Winter Breaker, the Menlo weightlifting team delivered a day full of confidence and momentum, highlighted by a senior performance to remember. Hailing from Mountain View, California, Owen Yama closed out his Menlo career with poise and grit in his final competition appearance. He finished the day with a 204kg total, went a flawless 3-for-3 in the clean and jerk, and capped his performance with a 116kg personal record. His effort earned him a qualification to the American Open Finals, the first of his career, and served as a fitting send-off to his time as an Oak.
