The sophomore from Modesto, CA had a standout performance by earning a top six placement in the 160lb bracket of the Women's Connor Oppenheim Open this past weekend. Lancaster opened her day with a tough draw, facing the nation's #6 ranked NAIA wrestler. Lancaster would waste no time making a statement, scoring 10 points before earning the fall in under five minutes to advance. She followed with another pin in the next round, then battled through a tough 6-4 decision in the quarterfinals to advance to the semis. Although dropping her final two matches, Lancaster finished inside the top six at one of the premier tournaments of the season, leading a lineup filled with young, emerging talent. Her efforts earned her the title of MPSF Wrestler of the Week, the second honor for Lancaster and the eighth all-time for Menlo as a member of the MPSF. The Oaks will travel to Illinois on Sunday for the North Central College Invitational.
