The senior from Waiane, Hawaii delivered a standout performance at 165lbs at the ERAU Mile High Open. Tapia opened his day with two quick pins that took less than three minutes combined and followed it with an intense 4-1 win in sudden victory against Jonah Chew, a 2x NAIA National Qualifier. In the finals, the senior would go on to beat Jayden Luttrell of Embry-Riddle, a 2x NJCAA All-American. Tapia would earn 2 takedowns and a 2-point near fall to finish the match 8-3 to bring home another gold medal. Tapia is now 9-0 on the season, with 6 of those wins coming by bonus point victories.
