TJ Curry

Menlo College is proud to welcome TJ Curry as the first-ever Director of the Taekwondo program. A world-class competitor and elite coach, Curry brings a wealth of experience at both the national and international levels.

As an athlete, Curry’s career is decorated with prestigious accomplishments, including being a 2012 Olympic Alternate, a multiple-time U.S. National Team member, and a gold medalist at the U.S. Open, President’s Cup, and more. His international success has positioned him as one of the top American taekwondo athletes of his generation.

Beyond his competitive career, Curry has made a significant impact as a coach, developing national champions, national team members, and international medalists. As the owner and head instructor at Precision Taekwondo, he has trained and mentored top-level athletes, helping them succeed on the biggest stages. Additionally, his role with USA Taekwondo has taken him across the globe, leading teams at the World Championships, international training camps, and Olympic preparation events.

Curry’s coaching philosophy centers on technical excellence, mental toughness, and building a culture of success. His experience working with athletes of all levels—from youth competitors to Olympians—makes him the ideal leader to build Menlo’s Taekwondo program into a national powerhouse.

With an unwavering commitment to athlete development, competition success, and personal growth, TJ Curry is ready to make history with the Oaks.
