Mike Givens brings decades of coaching experience and a championship track record to his role as Head Baseball Coach in 2025. His baseball leadership spans both the high school and collegiate levels, highlighted by his time at Skyline College, where he led the team to two California Community College State Championship Tournaments and earned both Coast Conference Coach of the Year and Skyline College Coach of the Year honors. At Sandpoint High School, he guided the program to its first and only State Championship in school history, a season that led to Hall of Fame recognition, multiple conference titles, and two Conference Coach of the Year awards.
Givens has built a reputation for developing athletes and building strong, competitive cultures. As Head Coach of Women’s Softball at Menlo College, he recruited and coached players who went on to become some of the most statistically accomplished in program history, ranking among the all-time leaders in categories such as hits, batting average, home runs, RBIs, runs scored, stolen bases, innings pitched, and strikeouts. His commitment to fundamentals, discipline, and player development has been a constant throughout his career.
In addition to his work in baseball and softball, Givens spent 13 years as Menlo College’s Director of Golf and Head Coach for the men’s and women’s programs, building them into nationally recognized contenders. His teams reached their first Top 20 national ranking and climbed as high as No. 4 in the country while producing top individual talent and strong academic performance. Now returning his primary focus to baseball, Givens brings a championship mindset, proven leadership, and a deep commitment to helping student-athletes succeed on and off the field.
