Megan Massa

Megan Massa joined Menlo College Softball in July 2025 as an Assistant Coach under newly appointed Head Coach McKinsey Thorpe. A highly decorated former NCAA Division II student-athlete and rising coaching talent, Massa brings a deep knowledge of the game, a sharp analytical mind, and a passion for developing players both on and off the field.

A native of California and standout outfielder at Concordia University Irvine, Massa was a four-time First Team All-Conference and All-Region selection, earning Conference Player of the Year honors in 2022. During her collegiate career, she helped lead the Eagles to five conference championships and three tournament titles, while being part of teams that reached the No. 1 national ranking twice. She remains among CUI’s all-time leaders in several offensive and defensive categories.

Following her playing career, Massa continued to elevate her game as a graduate assistant coach at her alma mater. At Concordia, she worked closely with both power hitters and slappers, provided specialized training for outfielders, and took the lead on film analysis and scouting using Dartfish software. Her detailed game tagging and advanced scouting reports provided key insights on opposing hitters and pitchers. She also contributed significantly to recruiting, evaluating talent both digitally and at live events, and played an active role in building a strong team culture.

Massa is known for her high softball IQ, versatile skill set, and a coaching philosophy centered around accountability, communication, and attention to detail. Her expertise spans hitting, fielding, pitching development, and film-based analytics, making her a critical asset in the growth and competitive development of the Oaks’ softball program.

Massa holds a Master’s Degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology, along with minors in Sociology and Coaching, all from Concordia University Irvine.

Driven, detail-oriented, and deeply invested in player growth, Megan Massa is poised to make an immediate impact at Menlo College as the program embarks on a bold new chapter in the PacWest Conference.
