In her first year as a graduate assistant, she was brought on to cover women's volleyball and track & field at SF State.

Bermudez earned her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from San Diego State in 2017 where she served as an athletic training student for the Aztecs' baseball, softball, women's water polo, and women's swim & dive programs from 2016-17. Through the same education program that had her in SDSU's sports medicine department, Bermudez also spent one season with Grossmont College as an athletic training student working with football, men's and women's volleyball, women's basketball, and women's beach volleyball.
