Ally Salzwedel joined the Menlo College Sports Information Department as the Sports Information Director in July 2022, after serving six months as an Assistant Sports Information Director. A familiar face within Menlo Athletics, Ally is a former standout forward for the Women’s Soccer Team, where she played four seasons, scored 10 career goals, and earned All-GSAC honors as a senior.
Off the field, Ally’s dedication extended into strength and conditioning, where she was recognized as an NSCA All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year for her outstanding work with the Sports Performance Department. Academically, she excelled consistently, earning Dean’s List honors multiple times and receiving the GSAC Scholar-Athlete award.
Ally competed for two seasons in the NAIA and has been an instrumental leader during Menlo’s transition to NCAA Division II and the PacWest Conference. She has played a key role in telling the stories of some of the most exciting and historic moments in Menlo Athletics, helping elevate the visibility and profile of the Oaks’ programs.
In addition to her SID duties, Ally has taken a major leadership role in planning and executing Menlo’s signature events, including Oaktoberfest, the Athletics Hall of Fame, the Athletics Banquet, and various Conference Tournaments. She currently serves as the primary Sports Information contact for Men’s and Women’s Soccer, Baseball, Softball, and Weightlifting.
Ally is a proud graduate of Menlo College, earning a double major in Sports Management and Marketing, blending her passion for athletics with strong communication and organizational skills that continue to benefit Menlo Athletics.
