Multiple Oaks Add Names To History Book In Season-Opening Tournament
As a team, the Oaks' 17-under-par 847 significantly bested the previous program record of 4-under-par 860 set during the 2018-19 season. The achievement was supported by tremendous collective efforts that included Pagliughi's 54-hole Menlo record for a single tournament and junior
Ryan Bello tying the lowest single-round record by an Oak to date with his 5-under-par 67 in the second round, matching that of both
Colin Casey (2016-17) and
Jacob Flogstad (2022-23).
Despite starting 1-over-par just two holes into Tuesday's third round, Pagliughi remained impressively focused, logging four birdies plus 11 pars the rest of the way for a 2-under-par 70. That score or better marked each of the first three rounds of the tournament, putting him into a tie for 11th overall.
Sophomore
Chase Yukawa posted a 2-under-par 70 with four birdies in the final round to finish his first competition for Menlo at a 3-under par 213 in a tie for 23rd while Bello ended up with an even-par 216, tying for 35th overall. Senior
