PacWest Conference Championship Results (Round 1 & 2)

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV
 – Menlo Women's Golf stood pat in sixth as a team at the end of Tuesday's second round of the Pacific West Conference Championship with freshman Kim Penzold still contending for the top spot.

Penzold Matches Leader On Day Two To Remain In Striking Distance
Only two strokes from Westmont's Hannah Camara for the top spot in the tournament to begin the day, Penzold opened with her fifth birdie to that point and soon followed with seven consecutive pars. She still mixed in another birdie during an up-and-down back nine, ending round two at a 2-over-par 74 that had her second to Camara once again by two strokes and in front of Hawaii Pacific's Isabella Iorio by one stroke.

An impressive 12-spot jump up the leaderboard came for junior Julia Torrez who sprinkled three birdies across a 4-over-par 76 that elevated her into a tie for 22nd. Meanwhile, the two other Oaks currently supporting Menlo's sixth-place position are freshman Ester Otiepkova (tied for 28th after a 10-over-par 82) and sophomore Kayla Lancaster (33rd also after a 10-over-par 82).
