SURPRISE, AZ – Friday's finale of the Pacific West Conference Championship Tournament was closer than the final 4-0 score as all three remaining singles matches either had Oaks leading or heading to a third set with Biola ultimately topping No. 39 Menlo Women's Tennis at Surprise Tennis Center.

Season Finale Has Oaks, Eagles In Another Battle
A 6-3 doubles win for junior Zofia Dziewiecka and freshman Gloria Jovic over Alessia Radu and Kailee Mazzeo on Court 2 was not enough to turn the tide with the Eagles securing the doubles point before their three singles wins on Courts 4-6. Prior to the clinching result, senior Yousra Hidass was locked in a back-and-forth second set following her 7-6 (7-5) tiebreaker victory in the opener versus Kailee Mazzeo on Court 2 while Dziewiecka and Jovic were both preparing to start their respective third sets.

Season In Review
En route to a postseason appearance, Menlo Women's Tennis turned in a 2026 campaign with many memorable moments. The program's fourth season to date was highlighted early by four consecutive victories including a sweep of Jessup (Feb. 20) that helped the Oaks achieve their first national ranking in the NCAA Division II era.

Two more sweeps, a 6-1 win over No. 35 Stanislaus State (Mar. 20), a gutsy 4-3 triumph against Biola (Mar. 25), and back-to-back victories to start April helped Menlo finish the regular season as the No. 5 seed in the Oaks' first PacWest Conference Championship Tournament. With the PacWest Newcomer of the Year sophomore Ombeline Robilliart plus two more All-PacWest Team honorees in tow, Menlo reached the postseason, ending the year 12-8 overall.
