Hanny Stanislaus Invite Begins With Trio Leading Menlo Men’s Golf

Hanny Stanislaus Invitational Results (Round 1 & 2)   

TURLOCK, CA
 – When the dust settled on Monday's first two rounds of the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational, there were three members of Menlo Men's Golf tied among the top 25 as junior Cole Kroeker, sophomore Emmett Shell, and senior Tej Gangavarapu currently share the lead for the eighth-place Oaks out at Turlock Golf & Country Club.

Oaks Among Nine-Way Tie For 25th
Both Shell and Gangavarapu were in lockstep throughout the first two rounds, each turning in respective 3-over-par 74 scores while combining for seven birdies to start. They then matched those scores with another six birdies in round two, finishing 6-over-par 148 in 25th overall. Meanwhile, Kroeker opened at an 8-over-par 79, but bounced back by matching his best round of the season at 2-under-par 69 powered by 14 pars to join his teammates.

Continuing the day's trend, the fourth qualification spot was also shared by two Oaks, sophomore Ryan Bello and graduate student Jack Stark, in 46th overall at 9-over-par 151. Stark opened the day as the team leader after one round with a 1-over-par 72 while Bello was not far behind at a 2-over-par 73.

Returning to the Turlock Golf & Country Club at 8:30 a.m., Menlo will complete the Hanny Stanislaus Invitational tomorrow.
