MORGAN HILL, CA – In their first action of the spring season, Menlo Men's Golf positioned themselves extremely well through the first two rounds of the RCA Electric Spring Invitational as junior
Cole Kroeker built a three-stroke lead over the nearly 50-golfer field with the Oaks out in front by six strokes overall.
Trio Among Top 11 Has Menlo Off To Strong Start
Beginning his day with six consecutive pars, Kroeker posted three birdies while matching his second-lowest single round of the season, a 1-under-par 71, in the opening round. An eagle on Hole 18 highlighted his second time through the course as he finished with a 2-over-par 74 for the collective 1-over-par 145 which has Menlo atop the leaderboard heading into the last round.
The combined effort took more than just Kroeker. Two of his teammates, sophomore

Tied for fourth overall, Bello's 15-par opening round of 4-over-par 76 was improved by three strokes as he rocketed up the leaderboard with a 1-over-par 73 powered by an eagle on Hole 18 and two birdies.
Meanwhile, Stark holds a tie for 11th after his strong 4-over-par 76 in round two which featured 12 pars in total. Officially the fourth qualifier for the Oaks is freshman
QiFeng "Adam" Tong with two others in 31st overall after his 17-over-par 161.
