BOSSIER CITY, LA – Closing out their season on the national stage, the Menlo College NCWA Men's Wrestling program delivered a gritty and determined performance, producing four All-Americans in a hard-fought showing.

In his first season as an Oak, Daniel Arellano earned All-American honors with an impressive run across seven matches in the three-day tournament. He opened strong with a fall and a decision to advance to the quarterfinals, where he dropped a thrilling 9-6 sudden victory bout to the eventual national champion in one of the tournament's most exciting matches. Arellano responded with grit in the consolation bracket, picking up another hard-fought win to secure All-American status. After a setback in the consolation semifinals, he bounced back in dominant fashion with a fall to claim a fifth-place finish at 125 pounds.

Giancarlo Plaza secured his second career All-American honor with a sixth-place finish at 133 pounds. Plaza opened the tournament strong with two victories to advance to the quarterfinals, where he was edged by the eventual national champion. Responding with resilience, Plaza battled through the consolation bracket and delivered a dominant 17-6 major decision to officially clinch All-American status. He continued his run into the fifth-place bout, ultimately finishing sixth to cap off another standout national performance.

David Arroyo turned in a strong performance at nationals, earning All-American honors with a fourth-place finish after competing in eight total matches. Arroyo opened the tournament with a win before dropping his second-round bout, forcing him into the consolation bracket. Undeterred, he battled back with a 6-2 decision to secure All-American status, then added two more victories on the backside to advance to the third-place match. Arroyo ultimately came up just short on the podium, finishing fourth to cap off an impressive tournament run.

Matthew Porras Diamond was the final Oak that delivered a strong performance at nationals, earning All-American honors with a fifth-place finish after also competing in eight matches. Diamond opened the tournament with three consecutive wins to advance to the quarterfinals before dropping his first bout of the tournament. He responded on the backside with a dominant 14-4 major decision to secure All-American status. After falling in the consolation semifinals, Diamond bounced back in a tightly contested fifth-place match, earning a 5-4 decision to cap off an impressive tournament run.

After improving from last season by earning more All-Americans, the Oaks leave the national stage with momentum and a strong foundation built on resilience, depth, and continued growth. With multiple returners gaining valuable experience at the highest level, Menlo will look to build off this performance as they continue to elevate the program heading into next season.
