3/25/2026 4:03:00 PM

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Menlo Wrestling alumnus Rysan Leong made an impressive start to his professional Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) career, earning a unanimous decision victory in his debut after a dominant 5-0 amateur run that featured five finishes.

The 2023 NAIA National Champion stepped onto the main card at Anthony Pettis Fighting Championships (APFC) 22, where he faced previously undefeated Khetag Moroav at lightweight. In a highly competitive bout, Leong showcased his composure and pace across all three rounds.

Known for his ability to finish fights early, Leong would go the distance for the first time in his young career. He controlled key moments throughout the fight to hand Moroav his first loss with the judges scoring the bout in Leong's favor by unanimous decision.

With the win, Leong continues to build on an already decorated combat sports resume, carrying his championship pedigree from his time as an Oak into the professional MMA world.
