Cole Kroeker's final trip through Oak Valley Golf Club's 18 holes featured four birdies, propelling him to the best individual finish for an eighth-place Menlo Men's Golf team in Cal State San Bernardino's Coyote Classic on Tuesday.

Kroeker Makes Major Move Up To Close Tournament
In a tournament field that included six nationally-ranked golfers, Kroeker carried the momentum from his 2-under-par 70 in round two to Tuesday's final round which he opened with five pars and one birdie. Despite being 1-over-par with four holes to go, his pair of birdies on Hole 3 and Hole 5 dropped him back under to a 1-under-par 71 that had him at a 3-over-par 219 (one stroke off his lowest score of the season), tying for 18th overall.
Sophomore
Emmett Shell began and ended the third round with his sixth and seventh birdies as a 4-over-par 76 put him at a 5-over-par 221 and tied for 24th when all was complete. Freshman
Zihe Miao's 5-over-par 77 contributed to his tie for 39 th at a 10-over-par 226 while the fourth and final qualifying spot for Menlo was shared by freshman
QiFeng "Adam" Tong and graduate student
Jack Stark who tied with three others for 66th at a 19-over-par 235.
