TURLOCK, CA – Menlo Women's Tennis achieved multiple season firsts on Friday, not only sweeping the year's series with No. 35 Stanislaus State, but also delivering the team's first win over a nationally-ranked opponent this spring.

Oaks Rally Back With Singles Surge
Juniors Zofia Dziewiecka and Livia Harper captured a 6-4 win on the first doubles court, but the Warriors came back by barely outlasting the Oaks on the other two courts for the early 1-0 advantage.

Momentum shifted dramatically in singles play where initial wins for sophomore Ombeline Robilliart over Maiah White on Court 5 (6-3, 6-2), senior Yousra Hidass against Emma Yu on Court 2 (6-1, 6-4), and Harper versus Katrine Damkjaer on Court 3 (6-2, 6-4) quickly had Menlo back in front. The three other singles matchups all saw the Oaks prevail in three sets as freshman Gloria Jovic took down Parker Orlando 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 on Court 4, junior Nia Macay defeated Emi Mikami 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 on Court 6, and Dziewiecka bested Abbigail Mulick 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to close out a marathon day of action.
