Navjot Waraich Honored as MPSF Freshman of the Year

The Menlo Women's Wrestling program is proud to announce that Navjot Waraich has been named the MPSF Women's Wrestling Freshman of the Year following an outstanding debut season in the Oaks lineup.

Waraich made an immediate impact in her first collegiate campaign, finishing with 11 total victories, including eight wins by bonus points, showcasing her ability to not only secure wins but do so in dominant fashion. Competing at 103lbs, Waraich quickly established herself as a key contributor for Menlo throughout the season.

She opened her collegiate career with a strong statement, earning a third-place finish at the Menlo Open, proving early on that she could compete with experienced wrestlers at the collegiate level. Waraich continued to build momentum as the season progressed, ultimately battling her way to a runner-up finish at the MPSF Championships, playing a crucial role in the Oaks' success.

Closing the season on a high note, Waraich captured the 103lb title at the 4th Annual Cerritos Open, further highlighting her growth and development over the course of the year. Her consistent performances across top tournaments solidified her as one of the most impactful newcomers in the conference.

With a breakout freshman season and conference recognition to her name, Waraich has positioned herself as a rising star for the Menlo Women's Wrestling program and a key piece for future success.
