ATHERTON, CA – The Menlo Women's Wrestling program is proud to announce that Louisa Schwab has been named the MPSF Women's Wrestling Wrestler of the Year following a historic and dominant 2026 campaign.

The standout at 124lbs, Schwab established herself as the most dominant wrestler in the conference this season, compiling an impressive 15-1 overall record, with 12 of her victories coming by way of pin or technical fall. Her ability to consistently score bonus points and control matches set her apart as one of the premier competitors in the MPSF.

Schwab's biggest accomplishment came at the MPSF Championships, where she captured the 124lb conference title, playing a pivotal role in helping the Oaks secure the MPSF Team Championship for the second straight season. Her dominance extended into dual competition as well, where she finished a perfect 7-0, earning bonus points in every victory and providing crucial momentum for Menlo throughout the season.

On the national stage, Schwab continued to prove herself among the elite, earning a third-place finish at the prestigious North Central College Women's Invitational, one of the toughest collegiate tournaments in the country. She also showcased her strength early in the season at the Menlo Open, where she shared a second-place finish alongside a teammate after both advanced to the finals.

With a conference title, national-level success, and one of the most dominant statistical seasons in the MPSF, Schwab has solidified herself as one of the top wrestlers in the country and a cornerstone of Menlo Women's Wrestling moving forward.
