Menlo Men's Tennis rose above .500 yet again on Tuesday as a 6-1 neutral site victory against Colorado Mesa at Azusa Pacific's Munson & Bavougian Tennis Complex marked the Oaks' fifth official win of the season.

McAlpine Wins Twice On Getaway Day
A busy recent stretch of matches for Menlo finished on Tuesday and the Oaks looked particularly strong in both doubles and singles play. First it was graduate student Erkin Tootoonchi Moghaddam and senior Asger Emil Ildor taking down Diogo Manzano and Emil Hultman 6-4 on Court 2 to even up the doubles action. Then junior Robin McAlpine and freshman David Espinosa Navarro took down Henry Scheck and William Leschig, ranked No. 14 nationally, by a 7-5 final on Court 1 to gain the early advantage.

Though the Mavericks had the match evened up with the conclusion of the first singles match, the Oaks proceeded to take each of the next five with sophomore Tijl Forger besting Leschig 6-3, 6-2 on Court 4 then junior Henry Riccioni-Brown carrying momentum from a first set tiebreaker into a 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 victory over Manzano on Court 2. McAlpine posted his second win of the morning with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 triumph over Scheck on Court 1 and the pair of graduate student Galien Del Vecchio (6-1, 6-1) and senior Robinson Pelluault (6-3, 6-2) each topped their opponents to wrap up the 6-1 final.
