ATHERTON, CA – Senior night in Haynes-Prim Pavilion turned into a statement performance for the Oaks, taking out Simpson in a sweeping 50-0 victory.
 
Before the dual began, the Oaks honored five seniors who have helped build the program's culture and competitive spirit. Seniors Michael Torres, Kanaipono Tapia, Ezekiel Lara, Isaiah Morales and Jeramiah Steele all saw the mat for the final time in Haynes-Prim and left with a victory.

The Oaks opened with a forfeit at 125 to begin the dual to earn the first six points of the dual. The Oaks earned a forfeit at 133 but Jeramiah Steel still saw the mat with an exhibition, taking out Kenny Schulz in the first period in his final match at home. At 141, senior Michael Torres electrified the crowd with an offensive masterclass, picking up a 16-1 technical fall to go out with a bang. Tyger Taam followed the veteran at 149, earning a tough 12-9 victory over Colton Silva with a couple takedowns.
 
At 157 Simpson forfeited the weight but Ezekiel Lara earned a 9-2 exhibition win to close out his time in the Prim. Kanaipono Tapia made quick work at 165, securing a first period fall in just 45 seconds to help ignite the Oaks bench and tally another six team points. The final senior of the night in Isaiah Morales closed out his final dual in Haynes-Prim in dominant fashion, earning a 21-6 technical fall to tag on five points to keep the sweep rolling. Mathias Collins and Diego Morales added back-to-back wins at 184 and 197 to showcase the Oaks' scoring ability in the upper weights. Heavyweight, Javier Martinez brought the crowd to its feet with a thunderous pin in just 42 seconds to close the night out with a 50-0 sweep.
