ATHERTON, CA – Beginning the spring season in impressive fashion, Menlo Men's Tennis took down American River 7-0 with just four doubles games allowed and all singles wins in straight sets out at Wunderlich Courts on Friday.

Ian Ramiro Perez and junior
Henry Riccioni-Brown both delivered 6-1 victories while graduate student Erkin Tootonchi Moghadam and senior
Robinson Pelluault were not far behind, winning 6-2.
Freshman
Joao Pedro Werner Ferreira earned the first singles win of the new year for Menlo on Court 2, besting Jesus Galvan 6-0, 6-2. His match ended in under an hour along with victories for senior
Duarte Brito (6-1, 6-1) on Court 4 and sophomore
Yuto Morita (6-2, 6-1) on Court 3 which helped ensure the Oaks' overall match result. Wrapping up the combined sweep, junior
Lachlan Ming bested Myles Newton 6-4, 6-1 on Court 5 then graduate student
Galien Del Vecchio took down Landon Arendt on Court 1 by a final of 6-1, 6-2. Sophomore
Caio Pisciotta punctuated the sweep with his 6-2, 6-3 triumph on Court 6.
