ATHERTON, CA – Menlo Women's Golf begins to build upon its bright future as Director of Golf

Joe Dolby will officially welcome Chongqing, China native ZIhe "Clara" Yuan this fall.
Set to join Menlo as a freshman following her time at Chongqing Foreign Language School, Yuan carries a strong competitive background with double-digit top-10 finishes over the past two years. Most notably, she was runner-up in both the PacificPine Sport Championships & AJGA International Pathway Series at Shanghai PGA Golf Club and the AJGA International Pathway Series and the AJGA International Pathway Series at Mission Hills Golf Club in addition to earning a tie for third at the AJGA AM Technical Solutions Junior.
"We are so excited about the signing of Clara as she is a talented and experienced player with limitless potential," Dolby said. "She chose Menlo over other Division I offers with elite academic standards because she recognized the value and perfect fit that the student-athlete experience at Menlo provides. Clara is pursuing professional careers in both golf and in business, and we are dedicated to supporting her in both areas."
Off the course, Yuan has earned multiple academic distinctions, earning third prize in the 'Science City Cup' First Chongqing Youth Science Fiction Essay Contest and first prize in the
13th Science and Culture 'Technology Changes the Future, Art Lights Up Life.'
