Menlo Sends Seniors Off in Dominating 60-4 Victory Over Sacramento State

ATHERTON, CA – Menlo NCWA Women's Wrestling turned their first ever senior night into a celebration in every sense, honoring Neila Fritts and Jessica Mendieta before rolling to a commanding 60-4 victory over the Hornets of Sacramento State.
 
The Oaks would begin the dual with back-to-back forfeits at 103 and 110 to put the Oaks lead up early. At 117 Maya Barrios would have the first official bout of the evening against Ari Phasook, pinning her just before the end of the first period.
 
The Hornets would earn their only points with a major at 124 but Lastevia Muir would step in at 131 to earn another six points for the Oaks with a fall over Alondra Paredes in 5:47. Shamara Ramsey would be the final bout of the night and earned a dominant fall over Priyanka Tandel in the second period. From there, Menlo earned forfeit victories in matches to secure the 60-3 victory.
