ATHERTON, CA – NCWA Men's Wrestling opened the second semester in memorable fashion, turning senior night into a celebration on the mat. The Oaks honored Diego Cesar Chaidez, Jakob Connors, Daniel Hernandez Marcos, and Eric Smith-Williams before rolling past Sacramento State, 35-15, behind five falls to cap the night with a dominant victory.
 
The Oaks got rolling immediately at 125 pounds when freshman Logan Robinson pinned Fabian Aguirre in under six minutes to give the Oaks an early 6-0 lead. The Hornets answered quickly at 133 with a major but another star freshman in Drayden Gaither recorded a fall in 2:12 at 141lbs to swing the momentum back in the Oaks favor.
 
Sophomore David Arroyo put on an offensive clinic at 149, earning five takedowns in the first period before earning the technical fall over Ryan Zepeda to push the Oaks ahead 17-4. Sacramento State would cut the lead by taking the next two weights, but Ian Rodriguez added on six to the board with a pin in the first period. Torin Lipska got the call at 184 and added a bonus point victory to his resume with a fall in 4:14. The Hornets would pick up their final points at 17, but the Oaks slammed the door shut at heavyweight, as senior Jakob Connors capped off senior night with a super duck that led to a 2:45 pin to seal the 35-15 victory.
