Haley Dunham Earns PacWest Player of the Week for First Time in Program History

9/8/2025 5:00:00 PM

LONG BEACH, CA – History has been made for Menlo College Women's Soccer! Senior forward Haley Dunham, out of Antioch, CA, has been named PacWest Conference Player of the Week, marking the first time in program history that a Menlo athlete has earned the honor, this time in the opening week of the season.

Dunham's Brace Earns Comeback

Dunham's recognition comes after a dominant performance in the Oaks' season opener against San Francisco State at Cox Stadium. Facing a 3-1 deficit at halftime, the Oaks showed resilience and determination in large part due to Dunham's second-half heroics.

The Gators struck twice early after the break to extend their advantage, but Menlo's response was immediate. Just seconds after San Francisco State's third goal, Dunham buried one into the net to keep the Oaks within striking distance. With the game winding down and pressure building, she delivered again in the 86th minute, scoring the equalizer that completed her brace and sealed a thrilling 3-3 draw. Dunham's two goal performance would account for her 3rd career brace of her collegiate career during her time at Menlo.

Dunham's two-goal performance not only powered Menlo's comeback but also set the tone for what promises to be an exciting 2025 campaign for the Oaks.

Up Next

Menlo Women's Soccer and Dunham now look ahead with confidence, carrying momentum from their opening-week performance into the rest of the season, beginning with a non-conference head-to-head against the Warriors of Jessup University on Tuesday, September 9th in Rocklin, CA with a kick-off at 3:00 PM.
