Menlo Matches Or Bests DUC Across Every Stat Category
The evening began with a 6-1 Menlo run marked by multiple kills from senior outside hitter/opposite Giulia Marinelli and multiple service aces from junior setter/defensive specialist Ruby Santos, giving the Oaks a margin they would not relinquish. Junior outside hitter Fuka Kikuchi sent down a pair of kills to make it 12-7 before providing the exclamation mark at 25-20.

In the second set, no more than three points separated the teams until Menlo extended its 12-10 advantage to 21-10 with Marinelli and freshman outside hitter Dayjah McFadden both recording at least two kills apiece. The margin only grew thereafter with senior libero/defensive specialist Faith Oller delivering a service ace for the 25-13 victory. From a 15-15 tie, the third set broke Dominican's way via a 5-0 run that led the Penguins to the 25-19 win.

After jumping in front 8-5 with consecutive kills by Kikuchi, the Oaks held a lead the rest of the way, setting up an emphatic finish that saw McFadden drop five kills in her team's last seven points including the 25-15 match-winner.
