Asuncion, Paraguy –
Menlo Taekwondo junior Kaitlyn Marie Reclusado recently captured two gold medals at the Asuncion 2025 Junior Pan-American Games in Women's Individual Poomsae and Mixed Freestyle Couple Poomsae. Competing as part of Team USA, Reclusado emerged as one of the few double gold medalists of the Games, showcasing outstanding performances in each event.

Dominant Performances in Poomsae
Reclusado started the games off in Individual Poomsae and delivered dominant routines against the Americas' best young athletes in taekwondo. The freshman would go on to earn scores over a 9 in all three of her matches with her gold medal match having her highest score of the competition.

Reclusado would go on to take the gold medal over Mexico's Brisa Alekc with Reclusado earning a 9.130 over Alekc's 8.910 to put herself on top of the podium.

Reclusado would later add a second gold medal in the Mixed Fresstyle Poomsae category, competing alongside fellow Team USA representee Sunghyun Eric Gun. The pair would go on to earn an 8.800 on their routine with Perú earning silver with a 8.480.

Reclusado's triumphs at the games reflects tremendously on the newly added Taekwondo program. As an incoming member of Menlo's inaugural Taekwondo program, Reclusado is already beginning to make herself a prominent figure for the Oaks.
