ONTARIO, CA – The Menlo College Taekwondo team delivered a standout performance at the 2025 U21 World Championships Team Trials, held at the Ontario Convention Center in Southern California. The Oaks returned with multiple medals and a major achievement: sophomore standout Kylie Lewis earned double gold, winning both the U21 and Nationals divisions to secure her spot on the U21 U.S. World Team.

Kylie Lewis led the way for Menlo, dominating both her brackets across the weekend. She first clinched gold in the U21 division, securing her place on Team USA for the 2025 U21 World Championships in Nairobi, Kenya. She followed that up with another gold in the Nationals division, confirming her status as one of the top young athletes in the country. Lewis's double-gold performance was a key highlight of the tournament and a historic moment for the Menlo program.

Sarah Grabot delivered a gritty and consistent showing, bringing home two medals. She earned a silver in the highly competitive U21 division, showcasing her technical skills and composure under pressure. In the Nationals bracket, she added a bronze medal to her weekend tally. Nicholas Carlo added to Menlo's medal count with a strong showing in the Nationals division, securing a silver medal. Carlo's performance on the national stage showcased that he looks to be one of the Oak's main contributors heading into their inaugural season.

The results from Ontario reflect the rapid development of Menlo College's Taekwondo program and its rising profile on the national scene. With multiple athletes medaling and one now representing the U.S. on the world stage, the Oaks continue to establish themselves as a force in collegiate martial arts.
