ATHERTON, CA – Menlo College Women's Basketball is excited to announce the addition of Angel Allen, a skilled 5'6 guard from Levittown, New York. Allen will join the Oaks as a freshman in the 2025-2026 season and is set to pursue a degree in Psychology.
A graduate of The Hotchkiss School, Angel brings years of leadership and high-level experience to the court. Allen attended and played for Lake Forest Academy most recently this year as a a point guard and has been a varsity starting point guard since the 8th grade, an impressive accomplishment that speaks to her basketball IQ and court vision. Allen earned All-Star honors in both her junior and senior years, and also received All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition as an 8th and 10th grader.
Known for her dynamic playmaking ability and fearless leadership at the point, Allen is expected to make an immediate impact on the Oaks' backcourt. Her passion for the game is fueled by role models like Steph Curry and Paige Bueckers, two players known for their skill, creativity, and competitive spirit, qualities Allen embodies in her own game.
"We're thrilled to welcome Angel to the Menlo family," said Head Coach Shannon Spataro. "She brings a high level of experience and poise for someone her age. Her leadership and energy are going to be a great asset to our program".
Off the court, Angel is just as driven, planning to study Psychology while continuing to develop her game and contribute to a growing culture of excellence at Menlo.
