Las Vegas, NV - It was another day of competition for the Menlo Women's Golf team as the Oaks battled hard to the very last shot and the ladies played some great holes of golf. It was Senior Holly Obermuller and Freshman Rori Fanning who continued to play textbook golf.
Obermuller and Fanning Out in Front
The 1-2 Punch of Rori Fanning and Holly Obermuller has once again shown in the second round of the conference championships. Obermuller shot the team low today shooting an even par on the day. She had another round of textbook golf with dialed chipping that helped secure her a great day. Obermuller managed to climb the rankings and is now tied for third place at one over par for the tournament.
Rookie sensation Rori Fanning had another great day on the course as she managed to shoot a 74 in the second round of play. This two over par round was supported with three birdies on her scorecard as she remains atop the leaderboard in first place with eighteen holes of golf remaining.
Obermuller after the round said, "My score today was solid, but it was definitely a fight to say the least. I didn't hit many greens in regulation but was able to score many pars because of my chipping! My goal for tomorrow is to hit a lot more greens in regulation."
