Las Vegas, NV - After 36 holes of play, the Menlo Men's Golf team currently sits in third place overall as a team after firing off a tournament low with a two under par team score.  Three out of the five Oak starters today managed to shoot under par; it was a total team effort that has Menlo within striking distance with the final round still to come.

Vets Came to Play
It was Junior Tej Gangavarapu who led the charge today for the Oaks; firing off a cool 70 on the day, Gangavarapu was a force to be reckoned with.  Five total birdies marked on the scorecard today leaves Gangavarapu with a total score of just three over par.  In addition, Gangavarapu also skyrocketed up the leaderboard jumping seventeen spots to now sit in 13th place in the field.

Jumping up one lone position today was none other than Nicolas-Guy Landry.  Landry, who shot a 71 today, now sits at even par thus far in the tournament and is currently in tenth place overall in the field.  Landry also was in scoring position a lot today and managed to walk off the course with four birdies.

Fellow Senior Jack Stark also showed up and came up big for the Oaks.  Stark also fired up a 71 today and was throwing darts left and right.  He managed to achieve six total birdies on the day which was the most for Menlo in the second round.  Three of the birdies today from Stark came all in a row as he walked off the course with a hat trick.

After the round, Gangavarapu said, "I felt really confident with my driver and approach shots today.  I kept my head high after yesterday's mistakes and was focused on proving to myself that I am capable of reaching the high goals that I've set for myself.  I continued to give myself great birdie looks and managed to convert a few of them today.  I worked on my putting from yesterday to today and that made a big difference in helping me post the score that I did."
