2/25/2025 8:13:00 PM

Carmel, CA - After a hard fought battle from the Oaks, the Menlo Women's Golf team was able to walk away with a podium finish at the PCH Invitational at the Quail Golf Club in Carmel, CA.  This third place finish by the Oaks came with its highs and its lows but Menlo battled hard til the very last shot.

Obermuller Takes 2nd
Senior from Germany Holly Obermuller played lights out during the final round of the tournament today.  With this being Obermuller's last time playing Quail Golf Club for Menlo College, she wanted to make sure she went out on a high note.  Obermuller fired off a 74, three over par, round today where she was able to walk away with a lone birdie on hole 15.  In addition, Obermuller logged 13 total pars on her scorecard where she was able to finish in second place overall in the field at eleven over par.

After the round, Obermuller said, "This was my last tournament at Quail and I enjoyed it very much.  I had a lot of fun and I liked both rounds of this tournament; Quail will definitely be missed.  As a team we did our best, and we will continue to improve and work on our game to be ready for our next tournament."

Fanning is Back
After a slow start on day one, freshman Rori Fanning came into the final round of play looking for a bounceback day.  After logging a pair of birdies on her scorecard, Fanning ended the final round shooting a 76 on the day.  This 76 from Fanning was able to secure herself a fourth place finish in the field.

Up Next
It was a strong effort from all of the Oaks this tournament and they left it all out on the course.  Up next for the Menlo Women's Golf team will be a journey down to Moorpark, CA for the Cal Lutheran Regals tournament followed by the Sonoma State Intercollegiate Golf Invitational in April at Santa Rosa Golf Club.  Last but not least, the Oaks will round out the year with the PacWest Conference Championships at Aliante Golf Club in Las Vegas, NV.
